Employee Profile: Anthony Pasquale, gym software salesperson
Anthony Pasquale is Gym Insight’s longest-term gym software salesperson. He joined our company at its start in 2008, bringing with him an enthusiastic passion for our gym management software, the fitness industry, and gym owners. Let’s learn about this founding member of the Gym Insight team.

What makes this gym software salesperson different?
It’s hard to speak with Anthony Pasquale and not like him. His belief in our gym software and desire to help gym owners succeed radiates through every conversation and turns each prospect into a friend. This enthusiasm extends to his trust and openness. In an industry where customer service is outsourced and sales people disappear after the ink dries, he gives clients his personal cellphone number. “My job is to make sure Gym Insight is a good fit for what the customer wants. I don’t want to sell someone software that won’t work for them,” he says.
How did Anthony get his start in gym sales?
Anthony moved to Las Vegas from New York and began his sales career selling cars, where he loved meeting people and helping them find the right car for their family. Always an avid exerciser, a local owner of a fitness club noticed his sparkling personality and asked him to join the sale team. He soon found his calling promoting health and wellness, eventually running and owning his own clubs.
What is the back story on how Anthony joined Gym Insight after being a gym owner?
Anthony met Lawrence Fagan, our owner, while running a group of gym franchises. The two started their own health club where Lawrence, a computer engineer, began fiddling with building a better gym management software product.
After using their software in their gyms and beta testing it in others, Lawrence decided to switch from running gyms to becoming a gym management software development firm.
Intimidated at first by gym software sales, Anthony quickly realized how much experience and knowledge he brought to the job. He knew he could help these gym owners much more in this role than in selling fitness services.
“Now, I don’t feel l do sales at all,” he explains. “My job is to help gym owners grow and make the most money they can.”

How does Anthony help Gym Insight customers after the sale?
Anthony is still a gym owner at heart and he relishes the chance to help start-ups run their business effectively. If an owner ask for guidance, he’ll conduct a “gym audit,” where he reviews their business strategy, helping them identify areas of growth. Recently, we featured a gym audit with Kage Gym on our Gym Owner’s Podcast.
In general though, gym owners usually only contact him to upgrade a door system or add another location because Gym Insight works so well from day one.
What is his favorite Gym Insight product or feature?
Digital Keytags, because the system allows people to jump in and easily start a gym. All they need to do is provide members access — no employees necessary — and boom! — they’re in business.
What does this gym software salesperson do outside of Gym Insight?
It’s a little-known secret that Anthony’s favorite hobby is looking for excuses to buy power tools. On the weekends, he enjoys fixing up relatives’ houses and is always searching for the next project. He’s an involved uncle and is in a long-term relationship.

Today’s healthy and strong Anthony, Gym Insight salesperson.
Can we get personal?
Not only has Anthony run gyms, he’s faced many of the same challenges as gym owners. At one point, he ballooned to 290 pounds. After moving into gym software sales, he fell into the familiar pattern of sitting at a desk and putting off exercise until not exercising became the habit. He took control after a doctor told him he had to do something. Frightened of heading into his ’40’s seriously overweight, he vowed to change. These days, he wakes up at 4:30 a.m. everyday and hits a local gym before starting his day with Gym Insight.

What makes him successful as a gym software salesperson?
“I don’t feel like I have a position. I go into every day really just trying to meet someone new, learning about their business, and making a friend. Even if they don’t buy, it was awesome to meet someone new in the fitness industry,” he answered.
