Who is Lorenzo Argue-Miller?

He’s an interesting blend of conscientiousness, thoughtfulness and daring. Boasting a background as colorful as a hot air balloon festival, Lorenzo is one of those people you keep on the line just to discover what’s coming next.

In the simplest terms, he is a 34-year-old father of two girls from Michigan who now lives in America’s Southwest.

The longer answer is more complicated.

Because how do you define a guy who delays his wedding to pay for his mom’s cancer treatment?

Or who once worked at a friend’s blueberry farm, taking the hardest jobs first to earn the farmworkers’ respect? Or who shed over 100 pounds following a strict 45/30/15 regimen of weights, cardio, and sauna? Or — who can honestly say — he’s happy owning three cats, two dogs, 15 turtles, and 16 birds? And keeps an exotic animal license?

Born in Michigan, Lorenzo’s childhood home butted up to a dense forest. The experience shaped his love of nature and fostered a natural inclination for service. As a young man, he traveled throughout the United States, helping his family cope with serious illnesses and life’s toughest challenges. In his early 20s, he rose through the ranks of League of Legends, placing among the top 100 players in the world, streaming on Twitch and gaining an international following.

At one time, he even competed professionally in Jujitsu, taking the hits until his mom reminded him of his responsibilities as a father.

How did he land in the fitness industry?

By deciding he weighed too much and needed change.

At end of the COVID lockdown, Lorenzo weighed 285 pounds — about 100 pounds too much for his frame. One day, after showering, he caught a reflection of his girth, and vowed to change his life.

Shortly after, he joined EŌS Fitness, working sales, training employees, and eventually securing a personal training license so he could hit the floor with clients.

After two years with EŌS Fitness and with a baby on the way, he began searching for a more flexible job. Luckily, he found us.

A Quick Customer Care Summary

Among Lorenzo’s primary responsibilities is bench testing door controllers. Like everything else at Gym Insight, we do this a little differently. Our gym management software integrates with 24/7 door access control systems, allowing gym owners to automate member entry without staffing the front desk around the clock.

Here, we don’t install our door access controllers. Clients call local electricians, ensuring the installation adheres to city codes and reducing their overall cost.

Yet we want to make sure the unit is working correctly before they go to the expense of hiring an electrician. That’s where Lorenzo comes in. He guides the customer in testing the controller prior to installation. This methodology allows us to pinpoint outstanding issues should the unit not work correctly after installation — ensuring seamless integration with our gym software platform.

What do you feel makes you successful at your position?

“I like interacting and helping people,” he explains. A natural salesperson, Lorenzo excelled at customer conversion at EŌS.

Here, he enjoys counseling new gyms in conversion tactics, assuring them of their potential as they maximize their gym management software — from reporting dashboards to automated billing — and watching their location performance reports to see how fast they are growing.

Customer care is in his blood, he explains. Simply comforting the client as they learn the software goes a long way in calming anxious gym owners transitioning to a new gym software system.
